Dry Needling
Healthy feet equals a happy person
What is Dry Needling?
Dry Needling is a targeted treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to release muscle knots (trigger points), reduce tension, and improve blood flow to affected areas. Unlike acupuncture, which follows traditional Chinese medicine principles, Dry Needling is based on modern pain science and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
What Conditions Can It Help With?
- Muscle Tightness & Knots – Relieves tension and improves flexibility
- Chronic Pain Conditions – Helps with neck, back, and joint pain
- Sports Injuries – Accelerates recovery from strains and overuse injuries
- Headaches & Migraines – Reduces tension-related headaches
- Postural Pain & Desk-Related Stiffness – Relieves discomfort caused by prolonged sitting
- Tendonitis & Joint Pain – Supports healing and pain relief
Why Choose Dry Needling?
- Fast-Acting Relief – Many clients feel improvement after just one session
- Non-Invasive – No medication or surgery, just targeted muscle release
- Improves Mobility – Loosens stiff muscles and restores function
- Reduces Pain & Inflammation – Stimulates healing at a deeper level
- Complements Physiotherapy – Works alongside rehab exercises for the best results
What to Expect from a Session?
- Assessment – Your physiotherapist will identify problem areas and explain the treatment.
- Application – Thin, sterile needles are inserted into tight muscle areas (trigger points).
- Treatment Time – Sessions last 10-20 minutes, depending on the area treated.
- Results – You may feel relief immediately or within a few sessions as muscles relax.

EXCELLENT Based on 6 reviews Posted on sarah careyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Patrick did a super job diagnosing my injury correctly. Not only did his work help cure it but he set me on a pathway for general strengthening exercises. He showed me some useful and doable exercises and I'm feeling so much better than I did a few months ago. Often it takes just the right person with the right attitude to help you get started. Many thanks.Posted on Ed KavanaghTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent care and experiencePosted on Eamonn O'DonoghueTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hi Patrick, I had reason to visit Compass Physio a few months ago. My right knee and left foot needed attention. Sarah Jane diagnosed the injuries and gave me rehab exercises. I attended four times at two week intervals. The injuries were assessed, progress noted and exercises were upgraded on each visit. Then Sarah Jane was happy I could progress without any further visits. She gave me a number of exercises to continue doing. I was very satisfied with the professional service. Sarah Jane was excellent at diagnosing the weaknesses and prescribing the most suitable rehab exercises. I’m grateful for the ongoing exercises and limbs are improving. I recommend Compass Physio most highly. Kind regards, EamonnPosted on Eric MonahanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very happy with the service that Compass Physio provide. I have worked with Ellé, Sean, Ciara and Brian and all have been brilliant. It's good to have a gym upstairs to run through a few rehab exercises too. 10/10Posted on Caroline GrehanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely fantastic. I attended Brian after a very traumatic ankle break and he was just wonderful . He has me flying around again .
